	Born and raised in Tacoma, WA. Attended and graduated from class of 84' at Mount Tahoma Senior High. Attended Gallaudet University: 84'-86', Renton Vocational Technical College: 86'-88', Seattle Pacific University: 89'-90', and North Central Bible: 91'-93'. Married for 13 years to Kenny Jackson from Indiana. Currently works with Sprint as an Outreach Specialist. Have been involved with WA Black Advocate as a President in '98-'02, coached WBDA Women's basketball team, and ODHH Board of Advisory. Have played for NWAAD basketball and softball from '83-'97. Coached for GSCD Women's Basketball team and is currently running GSCD as a President to bring to the next generation and years yet to come!

Graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College in '93. Earned AAS degree. Moved and rooted here in Seattle, WA for 15 years. Played for GSCD Basketball team from 1993-2003 & 2008. Excited to be a NWADB/GSCD Co-Chairperson for March 2009 tournament. Strongly influenced by Joey Bear's Blog at encouraging deaf people to re-visit the deaf community and gain leadership. That's the reason why I want to be one of strongest deaf leaders, NOW and BEYOND! Tom Popowski also made me realize the impact and to honor him to keep GSCD running strong in the future!

Thereafter, went to Western Washington University '98-'00, University of Hawaii ~ Manoa '00-'01, Bellevue Community College '01-'02, and returned to WWU and graduated in '03 with a Bachelor of Science in pre-physical therapy and minor in Spanish. After 10 non-consecutive years of working in several physical therapy clinics, she switched her focus on skin care @ Euro Institute of Skin Care in Renton where she had studied for 6 months to get her license. Currently, she is happily working as an esthetician @ a day spa in Bellevue. Involved as player in basketball since high school. Varsity Girls Basketball '95-'98, intramural basketball in college, and Seattle's Gals and MVCD women's teams over the past 4 years. Currently running as a Secretary for GSCD in honor of our friend, Tom Popowski, who had passed away last January '08. She is excited to move forward with the GSCD officers and committees to make this year's NWADB tournament successful and continue for many more years.

Worked for Puget Sound Residential Services as a program coordinator for 10 yrs. My favorite activities are cooking, reading poetry, golf, outdoor adventures, travel and socializing. Spend my time with my daughter as much as I can.

Graduated from 3 different colleges, Gallaudet University - 1993, Lewis & Clark College - 1995, & Lake Washington Technical College - 2007. Mainly in GSCD softball leagues in 11 years span & once for GSCD basketball in 1993-1994. Played softball intramurals at Gallaudet for 5 years. Another sport was mainly involved with skiing all my life. Had been involved actively as a board with several organizations such as Public Advisory Committee, Kids of Deaf Adults (KODA), Washington State American Sign Language Teacher's Association (WAASLTA), Community Service Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CSCDHH), Mildred Johnson Library, and currently supporting GSCD & GSCD Jr.! Am looking forward to building up GSCD stronger with wonderful team. My goal designing this new website is to make communication fruitfully. Let's go GSCD & GSCD Jr.!
